Senator Eric Wimberger, a Republican representing Wisconsin’s 2nd Senate district since 2025, recently used his social media platform to address local community events and express concerns over state energy policy.
On November 16, 2025, Wimberger welcomed local students and parents to the state capitol, posting: “Great to welcome students and parents from Park Community Charter School in Kaukauna to the Capitol with @RepGoebenWI. Thanks for visiting!”
The following day, he congratulated area high school football teams for their achievements: “Congrats to the Bay Port and Little Chute football teams for making it to state! Best of luck competing for the Division 1 and 4 titles this week in Madison.” (November 17, 2025).
On November 18, Wimberger commented on a recent decision by the Public Service Commission (PSC), stating: “Democrat PSC appointees voted unanimously to raise energy prices…again. Sticking families with utility bill increases as high as 13%, on top of recent massive rate increases, will only make living in Wisconsin more unaffordable.”
Wimberger was elected in 2025 after replacing Robert Cowles as senator for Wisconsin’s 2nd district. As a member of the Republican Party, he has focused on issues affecting both his constituents’ daily lives and broader statewide policies.
