A Sheboygan-based strategic communications company, RGA Public Relations, has been selected to support the inaugural Sheboygan Film Festival, an annual event set to take place on October 2-5, 2025. RGA will handle public relations, social media, and thought leadership for the festival, which is organized by Belladonna Film Project, a 501(c)3 nonprofit focused on independent Midwest films.

Rick Grant, President of RGA, expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity. “I’m very proud to support this team and help bring this exciting event to Sheboygan,” Grant said. He noted that collaborating with indie filmmakers provides valuable perspectives to the community.

Belladonna Film Project, the organization behind the Sheboygan Film Festival, aims to celebrate independent films while establishing Sheboygan as a creative hub in the Midwest. The festival invites submissions from filmmakers globally, though it places special emphasis on regional independent projects. Beah Travis, Founder and Executive Director of Belladonna Film Project, shared her expectations by stating, “We are pleased to be working with RGA to share the word about Sheboygan’s own film festival.”

Rick Grant’s career began in journalism, covering financial services and technology in New York City before launching RGA Public Relations in 2007. His move to Wisconsin paved the way for his involvement in local film circles, notably as the organizer of the Madison Indie Filmmakers Meetup Group.

The Sheboygan Film Festival will feature various programs, including dramatic and documentary features, short films, and children’s content. Filmmaker discussions and panel events will accompany film screenings, highlighting projects and engaging the Sheboygan community.

More information regarding participation in the festival can be obtained through official channels, including sponsorship and volunteer opportunities.
