The majority of students in Manitowoc County districts were white in the 2023-24 school year, according to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Of the 10,226 students attending Manitowoc County district schools, 73.7% were white. Hispanic students were the second largest ethnic group among Manitowoc County’s districts, making up 12.3% of the student body.

In the previous school year, white students were also the most common group in Manitowoc County districts, representing 74.7% of the student body.

Manitowoc School District and Valders Area School District had the most diverse student body in the county, which included American Indian, Asian, African American, Hispanic, Pacific Islander, multiracial, and white.
