The Manitowoc County Historical Society and Pinecrest Village will host a Wisconsin immigrant experience program on April 24 and 26. The event, supported in part by Seehafer News, will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on both days at the Manitowoc County Historical Society Museum, located at 924 Pinecrest Road in Manitowoc.

Visitors are invited to learn about the stories and traditions of immigrants in Wisconsin through interactions with costumed interpreters at this historical event. The program is included in the general admission price, which is set at $15 for adults, $13 for seniors (age 62+), and $10 for children aged 4 to 17. Admission is free for children under four years old, and members of the Manitowoc County Historical Society benefit from free general admission. Special rates are available for homeschool families and classroom field trips.

Situated in the trails of the Ice Age Kettle Moraine in Eastern Wisconsin, the Manitowoc County Historical Society offers a living history museum covering 60 acres. Among its features are a Welcome Center with history exhibits and research services, alongside the Pinecrest Historical Village. Pinecrest Village includes over 25 historic buildings equipped with period furnishings, dating back to Manitowoc County’s early settlers.

Pinecrest Historical Village commenced in 1970 with a land donation from the Hugo and Eleanor Vetting family. The village showcases a representation of a small Wisconsin community from the early 1900s, with its various buildings forming the commercial, social, and political heart of a town, reflecting diverse architectural styles from Wisconsin’s history. The items used by Pinecrest Village interpreters are authentic or carefully researched reproductions.
