Forty-one apprenticeship students from Lakeshore College have been awarded $2,000 scholarships by the Ascendium Education Group. The scholarships are part of the Tools of the Trade program, which has been supporting students in the Wisconsin Technical College System for 12 years.

Apprenticeships at Lakeshore College combine hands-on training with classroom instruction over two to five years, preparing students for skilled occupations. Upon completion, industrial sector apprentices typically earn a median annual salary of $84,240, as per data from the Wisconsin Technical College System.

The scholarship recipients are listed according to their hometowns. Among them are John Wright II from Cedar Grove, Cole Fritsch from Elkhart Lake, and Todd Bastian from Fond du Lac. Other recipients include Eric Holdorf and Rafael Ortega Jr., both from Manitowoc.

Lakeshore College offers a comprehensive education experience with more than 9,000 students enrolled annually across its campuses in Cleveland, Manitowoc, and Sheboygan. The college is recognized nationally for its educational standards and outcomes.

Ascendium Education Group aims to make post-secondary education accessible to low-income learners through funding initiatives that promote upward mobility and support student success across the United States.
