The Forst Inn Arts Collective will stage the musical “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street” from November 1 to 23 at The Forst Inn in Tisch Mills. The production is directed by Michael Sheeks, with music direction by David Bowman. Chris Mayze will play the title role of Sweeney Todd, and Erin LaFond will portray Mrs. Lovett.
Other cast members include Core McElroy as Judge Turpin, Emilee Carroll as Beggar Woman, Isabella Dippel as Johanna, Gavin Annette as Beadle Bamford, Jake Puestow as Anthony, Sailor McDonough as Tobey, Zach Glaeser as Pirelli, and Phillip Jindra as Jonas Fogg. The ensemble features Hannah Koechel, Maddie Budner, Tessa Komorowski Jindra, Ross Dippel, and Joey Simmons.
The artistic team includes Hannah Otto (Stage Manager), Alex Stylenson and Karter Mueller (Properties), Claran LaViolette (Costumes), Jeff LaFond (Sound), and Kevin James Sievert (Lights and Stage Movement).
“Sweeney Todd,” written by Stephen Sondheim, is set in Victorian London and follows a barber who seeks revenge after returning from exile. The story involves themes of vengeance and justice.
According to the organization: “The Forst Inn Arts Collective presents theatre and music events in the historic spaces of The Forst Inn in Tisch Mills. The organization hosts ten mainstage theatrical productions each year as well as several smaller shows. Informal musical performances precede most theatre events and over the year several ticketed mainstage music events are hosted as well.”
