FOIA Request to Village of Francis Creek Regarding Same Day Registered Voters for 2024 Election on November 7, 2024.
We at EC Wisconsin News, a media organization dedicated to delivering comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, have submitted a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., for records pertaining to new voter registrations from the recent election held on November 5, 2024.
Our specific request is for an electronic format list of voters who registered to vote on the same day as the election. As a media organization committed to transparency and accountability in public institutions, we believe that access to these public records is essential in fulfilling our professional responsibilities.
In line with our role in gathering and disseminating information to the public, we have requested a fee waiver as a media professional. We eagerly await a response from the Village of Francis Creek regarding this matter.
