FOIA Request to Town of Eaton Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.
As part of our ongoing commitment to transparency and accountability in local government affairs, we at EC Wisconsin News have submitted a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., for a list of new voters who registered on November 5, 2024.
We believe that access to public records is essential for comprehensive and accurate news coverage. As a media organization, we are tasked with holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public.
In line with this mission, we have requested these records preferably in electronic format. We also believe that as media professionals involved in gathering and reporting news to the public, we are eligible for a fee waiver.
We look forward to working closely with the Town of Eaton in ensuring that the public remains informed about important developments within their community. We remain open for any questions or clarifications regarding our request.
