EC Wisconsin News, a media organization dedicated to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, has submitted a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law for information regarding candidates running in the upcoming election.

The request was made with the aim of obtaining a list of all candidates that are running for this upcoming election. The specific details requested include the candidate’s first, middle, and last names; the office they are running for; jurisdiction of the office; and party affiliation.

In addition to these details, EC Wisconsin News has also requested contact information for each candidate. This includes their address, phone number, and email address.

As part of our mission at EC Wisconsin News to hold public institutions accountable and provide transparency to the public, we believe access to these public records is essential. Given our role in disseminating information to the public as a media organization, we have requested a fee waiver as part of this process.

We await response from the Sheboygan County Election Department regarding this request.
