The Manitowoc County Historical Society is partnering with Cousins Subs in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, to raise funds and awareness for local history education. The fundraiser will take place on Thursday, April 10, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Cousins Subs location on Calumet Avenue.

Proceeds from the event will support the operations and educational programs of the Manitowoc County Historical Society. As a private non-profit organization, the society relies entirely on membership dues, tours, fundraising events, and donations for funding. The money raised during this event will help purchase supplies for educational programs, including materials for the blacksmith shop and other historic trades.

The Manitowoc County Historical Society is located in Eastern Wisconsin’s Ice Age Kettle Moraine countryside. It operates as a living history museum on a 60-acre site featuring a Welcome Center with local history exhibits and research services. The outdoor Pinecrest Historical Village includes over 25 historic buildings furnished with items from Manitowoc County’s early settlers.

Pinecrest Historical Village was established in 1970 through a land donation from the Hugo and Eleanor Vetting family. It represents a small Wisconsin community from the early 1900s with buildings forming the town’s commercial, social, and political core. These structures display various architectural styles significant to Wisconsin’s history.
