The Manitowoc-Two Rivers YMCA announced on March 23 a $5,000 matching gift from Bank First to support its Annual Campaign. The donation means that every contribution made by community members will be matched dollar for dollar up to $5,000 for a limited time.
This initiative is designed to double the impact of donations and help the YMCA continue providing services to children, families, older adults, and individuals facing health challenges. According to the organization, donor support helps provide safe spaces for children before and after school, reliable child care for working families, programs like LiveStrong and Rock Steady Boxing for those with major health conditions such as cancer or Parkinson’s disease, and opportunities for older adults to stay active and engaged.
Gifts also contribute toward Membership for All at the YMCA. This program ensures that financial hardship does not prevent individuals or families from accessing Y facilities or programs. The organization said donor support keeps the Y accessible and responsive in a community where needs are significant.
“This matching gift from Bank First creates an especially meaningful moment to give. Every donation made during the match will have double the impact, helping the YMCA continue marching toward its Annual Campaign goal and strengthening the community along the way,” according to a statement released by Manitowoc-Two Rivers YMCA.
Community members can make matched gifts online at mtrymca.org/give, by mail addressed to Manitowoc-Two Rivers YMCA, or in person at their front desk.
The Manitowoc-Two Rivers YMCA describes itself as part of a nonprofit network committed to strengthening communities for more than 175 years by ensuring access to resources and opportunities so all people can learn, grow, and thrive.
