The Manitowoc County Historical Society (MCHS) and A&W in Manitowoc have partnered to organize a Share Night fundraiser on June 25, 2025. The event will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. at the A&W location on Harbor Town Lane. The aim is to raise funds and awareness for local history education at MCHS’ Pinecrest Historical Village.

Amy Meyer, Executive Director of the Manitowoc County Historical Society, expressed gratitude towards local restaurants for their support. “We are so appreciative of our local restaurants and their efforts to help us raise funds to support our mission to preserve and share our local history,” she said.

Proceeds from the Share Night will benefit the operations and educational programs of MCHS, which is a private non-profit organization relying on membership dues, tours, fundraising events, and donations for funding.

The Manitowoc County Historical Society operates as a living history museum located in Eastern Wisconsin’s Ice Age Kettle Moraine countryside. It includes a Welcome Center with exhibits and research services along with the Pinecrest Historical Village—a collection of over 25 historic buildings that depict life in early 1900s Wisconsin.

Pinecrest Historical Village was established in 1970 following a land donation from the Hugo and Eleanor Vetting family. The village serves as a representation of a small Wisconsin community from the early 20th century, featuring various architectural styles and furnishings that are either original or well-researched reproductions.
